So Romance isn't JUST what I thought it was. We took notes on American Romanticism and Rationalism. It was something new to learn and I liked it (though I could have gone without the speed dating part). We read "The Devil and Tom Walker" which was written by a romantic writer. I wish we could have read more stories by writers like him and in that era because it is something so unrecognizable to me. So this was a funny tiny little unit it is just too bad we didn't have more time for it. :)
