Reading books like The Color of Water and Their Eyes Were Watching God, we focused a lot on identity. More specifically, we focused on what factors come into play with someone's identity. We determined this for most of the main characters in this book. As a class we made lists and discussed and argued possibilities. Even better than that, I was able to take into consideration everything the class decided was important for identity and come up with what help to create my own identity.
